Sanctuary on Sea – Protesting the UK’s Nationality & Borders Bill

”Today over 200 of us came together on Brighton Beach to show we are all heart for refugees. Join us in London on 20 October to protest the inhumane and immoral Nationality & Borders Bill. If that Bill becomes law, the UK’s reputation will be as ruined as the West Pier”

Volunteers with Sanctuary on Sea came together to protest the inhumane Nationality and Borders Bill that seeks to criminalise people seeking safety and sanctuary in the UK. Although the numbers of asylum-seekers have dropped significantly since the beginning the pandemic, UK’s Government/ruling party have been working on brining in new legislations that would make the life asylum-seekers and refugees harder by criminalising them for illegal entry and depriving them from some of their basic right, such as family reunion for those eligible.
